I am Back with “IMaadhyaam (IMpact Maadhyaam)". Our initiatives were formulated with an intention to work with and uplift all those who have lost belief, trust and purpose, through ‘The Silent Architects of the Society – Women’, the Maadhyaam whose IMpact is profound in everyone’s life but she is always left behind.”
Stuck between “F**k It” and “What If”, the line summarizes my thought process. There are times when all I want is to get back to work, without giving a damn to anything. Don’t get me WRONG; I do work as a “Work At Home Mum” which turns to “Stay At Home Mum”, MOSTLY.
IM Tabassum, my resume has 7-year break mentioned in bold. The very first question that I get is, “What happened?” “Motherhood”, isn’t it distinct. My postpartum break turned into a sabbatical.
I salute to millions of superwomen out there who are managing beautifully with their work, kids and family. But for me, I couldn’t do it. The ambitious-me-ready-to-take-on-the-world would disintegrate into a worry me an avatar. My “F**k It” mode would soon turn into “What If”.
Endless What If’s…
What if, I don’t get a reliable maid, a nanny, a cook?
What if, something happens in my absence?
What if, my daughter is unwell?
What if, there is an emergency? Can I trust someone?
What if, my neighbor is a serial sexual offender?
Last but not the least
What if, I miss the BBMP garbage guy?
So with a lot of resentment, I come back to my freelancing work. Soon enough to get that itching again, for the grass is always greener on the other side.
I would really love to come out of this DILEMMA…
To be at peace with what I have achieved.
To be happy in my own space and not give in the temptation.
I am sure of others sailing in the same boat. All I want to say is:
“I am the CHANGE, I am the IMpact!!”
